Public Meeting (held February 26, 2009)
to discuss transportation for the Grand Traverse Commons

The City of Traverse City and Charter Township of Garfield Recreational Authority
and the Joint Planning Commission are seeking input on design of
southern entrance and street network for the commons.

Citizens are invited to discuss Future Transportation and Circulation Needs for
the Grand Traverse Commons.

The future of the street network of one of the area’s most historic sites depends on you.
A new south campus entrance (extention of Franke Road), pedestrian and bicycle access,
road design, traffic flow and parking are just a few of the transportation and
circulation issues that will be discussed at this meeting.

Restoration of the Historic Cathedral Barn -- Plans Available for Public Viewing and Input

As a result of much public input, support and visioning, The City of Traverse City and Charter Township of Garfield Recreational Authority continues its efforts to restore the Cathedral Barns at the Grand Traverse Commons as a place for public assembly.
